Game changer 3D Character for Campaigns We've partnered with 2DNAC to showcase how Rapport can bring interactive experiences to life using high-quality video game characters for marketing campaigns. This approach immerses potential players in the story and lore before a game’s release, building excitement and anticipation. At the core of the Rapport platform is Speech Graphics’ award-winning audio-driven facial animation technology. Used in games like Hogwarts Legacy, The Callisto Protocol, and The Last of Us Part 2, this technology automates realistic lip-sync and emotional expressions. With Rapport, publishers can now repurpose these characters for real-time interactions with the gaming community, enhancing online promotions and pre-order campaigns. For this demo, 2DNAC created Dr. Isidora Quinn, a character from the fictional game Fractured Realities. She’s designed with a unique personality and can answer user questions about the game. Known for crafting lifelike digital doubles, 2DNAC ensured the character was high-quality and perfectly rigged for facial animation, making it seamless to integrate with Rapport. The platform works with almost any character, provided it’s rigged correctly. You can learn more about how they built this character below. Adding Intelligence: For this demo, we utilized OpenAI’s GPT-4o, giving Dr. Isidora Quinn the ability to handle open-ended questions. To ensure her responses align with the game’s context and her character, we added specific prompts. Rapport also supports other advanced Large Language Models like Google Gemini, and even branching dialogue systems if creators want complete control over conversations.Selecting the Voice: Once the character was ready, we needed the perfect voice to match her persona. Initially, we created a voice clone using ElevenLabs’ text-to-speech (TTS) software. While accurate, the cloned voice didn’t quite fit Dr. Isidora Quinn’s character. Rapport’s integration with various TTS providers offered thousands of voice options, and we ultimately chose a pre-made ElevenLabs voice that better suited her. Below, you can see a video comparison of the two voices. BenefitsReusing game assets: Rapport allows anyone to animate video game characters with ease. Community or marketing professionals can bring to life video game characters, in different settings, in any language, in a matter of seconds. Cross-platform engagement: Characters animated by Rapport can be reused across multiple platforms, enabling them to interact with fans instantly. This means game characters can answer questions, participate in live events, and maintain a presence beyond the game itself, enhancing fan engagement and community building.Infinite Integrations: Rapport supports infinite integrations, ensuring that characters can be used seamlessly across various applications, from in-game interactions to promotional activities.
